Do you offer tie on waist beads?
Currently, we do not offer tie on waist beads. Our screw ons have proven to give the benefits of very long lasting wear, along with the option to take off your waist beads and put them back on at your convenience without having to cut them. However, we do have a select few of elastic waist beads in our collection. Our beauties can attest to the durability of those as well.
Why would I take off my waist beads?
Many people keep their QBI screw-on waistbeads on for years, yes YEARS!!! They rave about the flexibility of having the option to take them off for several reasons:
- They don’t want the imprint of the beads to show through tight clothing, ( I.e, a body con dress) so they’ll take them off temporarily for that occasion, whereas some people don’t mind the imprint , they actually love it!
- They want to try a new set, so they save the current set, and have the option to always put them back on, since you don’t cut them off, you screw them on and off.
- If your weight fluctuates, you can keep your current set and order new ones for your new goal.
The flexibility that our beads provide is a win-win for sure!
Are they adjustable?
QBI waist beads are not adjustable, hence why correct measurements are imperative.
Where on my body do I measure for my waist beads?
Right above the hips are the most traditional and discreet landmark for placement. For best sizing results, we strongly suggest placing them below your jeans line, above your pubis, along the panty line.
Originally, waistbeads were never intended to be a show off type of body jewelry, neither were they worn for fashion. There’s a sense of sensuality that comes with knowing your waist beads are for your eyes only, and if a special person gets access , that’s beautiful. However you don’t have to go above and beyond to hide your waist beads! Follow your spirit on what YOU want to do and enjoy/wear your waist beads how you wish! If you wanna wear a crop top and flaunt your QBI waist beads, do just that!
Also, waist line and hip are advisable body landmarks for people with weight loss/gain goals, but it mostly depends on personal preference and comfortability.

Where are your waist beads from?
Our collections are hand made by some of the most skilled artisans in Ghana and Nigeria. And yes, we hand select them with you in mind. We promise.
How do I measure for screw on waist beads?
A string or tape measure can be used. You can get a tape measure at essentially any household store. You’d measure around the part of your trunk, where you want them to sit. It’s very important to account for room to breathe, bend and sit. To get the most accurate measurements, it’s important that you do not suck your stomach in or poke it out. Take a measurement with your belly in a relaxed state. Record the measurement and purchase the size range that works for you.
We’ll go by the measurement provide to us. Therefore, accuracy of measurement is imperative for optimal appreciation of this product.
How many should I wear?
You can wear as many or as few waist beads as you feel comfortable in. A minimum of 3 is recommended because it looks good but trust, you’ll be ordering more!
How long do they last?
Our waist beads are semi-permanent and can be worn while bathing, swimming, sleeping, dancing, love-making. They are suitable for all activities, but no pulling!
Anybody jewelry will eventually pop due to wear and stress, but with proper fit and care, they can last many years. QBI waist beads are made with the best resources to ensure durability and long wear. It’s imperative that the measurements you submit with your order warrants that your waist beads are not too tight, so that they do not break when you bend or sit. We have QBI Beauties that have worn the same set of waist beads for up to 5 years or more without taking them off!!!
Word of Advice: If you wear them along the lower hip, as recommended, be very careful if you are rushing to the bathroom , it’s very easy to forget that they are there and you could find yourself, pulling down your pants to ease yourself , and in a hurried manner, forcefully pull your beads down along with your garments. We guarantee durability, but we all know the power of force when it comes to chains and jewelry. Otherwise, they’ll last for as long as you take care of them!
How do I keep track of my weight with waist beads?
If you want to track your weight loss journey, you would start your beads up higher on your waist, with the goal of dropping down to your hips. You do not need to wear them tightly to measure your progress. If they are worn too tightly they will pop from the constant pressure. On a deeper note, the same way you’ll give yourself some grace while doing inner work, losing weight or any other personal endeavor, we encourage you to give your measurement a little grace as well. Your weight loss will still be evident because your waist beads will drop.

Orders are processed within 10-14 business days, and shipped immediately after, along with a tracking number. Weekends and holidays are not included in processing times.
REFUNDS
We do not offer refunds, however an exchange is offered for only products that were received damaged or defective .
RETURNS/ EXCHANGES
Items that come damaged, defective or incorrect are eligible for exchanges of that exact kind of product. Any items damaged by the customer from improper handling are not eligible for replacement. Once we receive your item, we’ll notify you via email that we have received your returned item, along with the note of approval or rejection of your exchange request.
